The Zschimmer & Schwarz range of surfactants has many uses. Their strong emulsifying and degreasing properties as well as their excellent wetting and dispersing properties make them ideal auxiliaries for soaking, the degreasing of all raw materials that are heavy in natural grease as well as the re-wetting of intermediately dried crust leathers.
Grain, fullness and area yield are terms that the tanner is dealing with on a daily basis. As the quality of raw materials is getting worse and worse, the balance between the different skins is becoming more and more important. Our wide range of mineral, synthetic, vegetable and polymer-based tanning agents allows for a constant production of all types of leather while meeting specific requirements.
Due to the lubrification of the fibre, fatliquoring agents ensure the maintenance of physical properties. In addition to the tanning agents, they have a very large influence on the characteristics of the final product. With the right choice and combination, features such as lightfastness, heat stability, fogging behaviour, water repellency and breathability can be controlled in a targeted manner.
Under the heading "Specialities", you will find all non-everyday auxiliaries with special properties: they prevent such things as the formation of chromium VI or reduce odours that are created inside the beamhouse on wet blue leather.
