Whether at work, at home, or for instance in the garden, our hands are repeatedly subjected to heavy (mechanical) stress. In addition, environmental influences such as dry air, dirt, water and sunlight also affect our skin – especially on our hands and face. Facial cleansing is therefore also an essential part of our daily cleansing routine, as it optimally prepares the face for additional care. Depending on the skin’s condition and personal preferences, consumers can choose between classic cleansing gels, cleansing emulsions or cleansing bars.
Customers are no longer looking for cleansing only – they want multi-purpose products. When cleansing is required to be extra mild and gentle on hands and face, formulators can find plenty of solutions within our PROTELAN and LUMOROL product lines. We offer a wide range of highly natural COSMOS-certifiable ingredients whose different foaming systems enable a perfect sensory perception.
In contrast to soap, cleansing bars based on synthetic surfactants (syndets) can be adjusted to a slightly acidic or neutral pH value. This prevents the skin from swelling and preserves its acidic protection layer. Due to their mild composition, cleansing bars are less degreasing on the skin. Thus, they are particularly suitable for dry and sensitive skin.
Soaps are the sodium or potassium salts of various fatty acids. They are used as solid or semi-solid mixtures for cleansing hands and facial skin. They differ from soap-free cleansing bars in their alkaline pH value.
Our optimised surfactant blends are easy to use. They were specifically developed to be used in mild cleanser applications that leave the skin feeling soft and moisturised.
We offer you high-performance cleansing ingredients for different types of make-up removers. Our mild surfactants, for example, are gentle to the eyes and ideal for micellar water or biphasic products. We also provide perfect options for oil cleansing products.
Our opacifiers are used in a wide variety of formulas and product types. Even when added in small amounts only, they modify the appearance of the product by creating a dense, uniform, milky or creamy opacity with a high proportion of white – which does not affect the other properties of liquid products.
Pearling agents add a fine and even pearlescent sheen to cosmetic formulations. Small quantities of the product suffice to create this attractive optical effect in the final product.
Thickeners are used in nearly all common cosmetic formulations to achieve the desired viscosity of the final product.
Solubilisers are used to produce clear aqueous solutions of different oils, like perfumes or essential oils of various origins. Besides, caring components can be incorporated into rinse-off formulations.
